Through a collaboration of some of today’s top artists and authors, Daybreak: Psalms of Act is shared with a hope that these words and melodies will connect you to the reality of God’s continued faithfulness in and through our lives today.
Birth of an Album
In the fall of 2019, a group of celebrated female authors, artists, and songwriters gathered to build friendships by writing together in community. During that time, songs and stories were born out of a collective response to God’s faithfulness to women; throughout Scripture, and in their own lives. Out of this was born the album FAITHFUL: Go and Speak.
FAITHFUL: Go and Speak invites others to add their own voices in praise of a kind and present friend and king: Our God above, below, and of everything in between.
Songs were inspired by stories of God's faithfulness to specific women in the Bible like Rahab, Eve, Ruth, Leah, Esther and more. As the women who were gathered to write these stories collaborated, read Scripture and put pen to paper, many of the things that they had walked through, struggled with or celebrated individually were shared with one another.
Those ancient stories of God's faithfulness to the women of the Bible came close and intertwined with the hopes, fears, difficulties and triumphs that God walks through with women today, just as He has for thousands of years.
